As well as the official microsite being launched on LIVING’s website this week, the makers of the Underdog Show have also launched a Facebook fan page for users to keep up with the comings and goings on the show - including Elize of course… You can become a fan of the show here if you’re a Facebook user.

Elize in upcoming episode of The Bill

The following is from Digitalspy, confirming a piece of news I found out a few weeks ago:

“Ex-’Hollyoaks’ actress guests in ‘The Bill’
Thursday, September 11 2008, 14:08 BST

Former Hollyoaks actress Elize Du Toit is to make a guest appearance in The Bill later this year.

The South African-born 27-year-old, who appeared as Izzy Cornwell in the Channel 4 soap between 2000 and 2004, is to play Claire Webster, a young woman who is beaten and dumped outside a hospital in front of Sun Hill officers.

Digging into Claire’s history reveals that she is currently trying to deal with spiraling debt and her attack was a warning by a group of extremely dangerous drug dealers.

The case sends D.C. Terry Perkins (Bruce Byron) undercover and eventually leads him to Germany for The Bill’s special 25th anniversary episodes, which are due to air on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 of November.

Speaking of her guest role, Du Toit said: “It was great working with the cast and crew of The Bill and lovely to be working in the same building as Ali [Bastian] again.”

She added: “We lived together when we worked on Hollyoaks and have remained good friends since. Claire Webster was a really fun character to play and it was a great part.”

Bastian played Hollyoaks’ Becca Dean for six years before her character was brutally murdered in jail following her false imprisonment.

Du Toit’s episode is scheduled to be broadcast on Thursday, November 6. “

Elize in Casualty This Weekend

For those of you that aren’t regular viewers, make sure to tune in to Casulaty this Saturday and Sunday, as Elize will be guest-starring in their dramatic two-part season opener. Elize plays a documentary director who is making a film about life in Holby General, and by the sounds of it she soon ends up entrenched in the action herself.

The BBC have a preview clip of the episode here, though Elize doesn’t feature in this yet.

In other news, Elize will also be featuring in a sketch on an upcoming episode of ITV2’s “Katy Brand’s Big Ass Show” in the next few weeks. Elize starred with Katy Brand in a pilot for Channel 5 last year called In Your Ear, so it’s no surprise to see her popping up in this new series.

Also, the Underdog Show starts on Living TV on September 21st, and Elize is a contestant - mark it in your diaries now!

Elize joins LivingTV’s Underdog Show

According to the Daily Telegraph, Elize will be amongst the stars in the next series of the Underdog Show. Previously shown on BBC2, the show involves dogs from rescue homes being trained by celebrities, with many of the dogs then going on to find new owners as result. The last series was won by newsreader Selina Scott.

Actor Brian Blessed and Strictly Come Dancing star Camilla Dallerup have also signed up to appear. Other celebrities taking part are Apprentice contestant Raef Bjayou, ex-So Solid Crew star MC Harvey and girlfriend Javine Hylton, Birds Of A Feather actress Lesley Joseph, Elize’s Hollyoaks co-star Kevin Sacre, and comedians Jason Wood and Ninia Benjamin.

The show, fronted by Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and presenter Mark Durden-Smith, is on Living TV.

Elize back in Hollyoaks - for one night only!

As you may have seen in your TV guides or read in the paper, Elize makes a guest appearance back in Hollyoaks this week - Tuesday the 30th to be precise (or the 29th if you watch it on E4). Elize’s character Izzy turns up at old flame Tony’s 30th birthday party, along with a few other familiar faces. If you can’t wait until then, here’s a couple of shots of her in action, but be sure to tune in on Tuesday…

The poster for the much-anticipated Homeland has found it’s way on to the IMDb page for the movie, and you can see it below. Not much news has been found about this movie for a while now, so hopefully the appearance of the poster means more news is on the horizon.

Devil’s chair director blog

Devil’s Chair director Adam Mason is writing an official blog for the website Bloody Disgusting, talking about the promotion of the film - including it’s recent showing at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it received glowing reviews. The film got such a strong showing that it is now likely to get a theatrical release in the States, which is great news for Elize. It will also almost certainly get a release in the UK.

The film’s official website has also been updated recently, and includes preview clips and a great making-of gallery…
